"The cupboard looks fantastic and has transformed an unused space in my kitchen. I would definitely recommend Les. I love it!"

Project Brief
Following a house fire, Kate wanted to augment her new kitchen with additional bespoke storage for tall items as well as things like towels and other kitchen items. She also wanted the storage to complement existing internal tongued & grooved doors with gate-latch hardware. The storage had to fit around the electricity fuse box.
Original storage
There was no existing storage in this part of the kitchen. The fuse box can bee seen at the top right corner.
Work in Progress
Two 600mm wide carcasses were built and installed. The righthand one had to be modified to cater for the electricity fuse box and a magnetic cover built to allow easy access. The doors were custom made using 19mm oak veneered MDF panels. Gate latches were modified, removing the rear latch part as this wasn't required. Kicking board and scribed in pieces to the top and side were built utilising the same oak-veneered MDF panels.
Completed Project
The result was a sleek 1200mm wide storage area that maximised the space available in this unused corner of the kitchen. The doors will be stained by the client to match the internal room doors.
